Specialist lawyers advise on ground-breaking balance app
Published: 5th December 2019
On December 4th, a team of specialist female lawyers from Irwin Mitchell celebrated 100 years of women in law by announcing their role in a ground-breaking project. The lawyers will partner with Dr Louise Newson to advise on ‘balance’ – an app designed to help women monitor menopausal symptoms and seek expert advice.
‘balance’ was created by Dr Louise Newson and her team at Newson Health with one goal in mind – to create a “dynamic, jargon-busting, evidence based mobile app which will help women to monitor perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, access evidence-based information and expert advice and provide help to cope with and tackle the transition through menopause.” The team of women in Irwin Mitchell’s creative industries practice will provide ‘balance’ with intellectual property, commercial and corporate advice.
Speaking of the app’s launch, Laura Harper, a partner at Irwin Mitchell said “We are delighted to be supporting such a strong team on this important project. To play a small part in realising ‘balance’ is an absolute pleasure.”
